Whoever said running was cheap was lying. Most new running shoes cost at least $100. If you are training for a half-marathon or above, you’ll need to replace them at least every few months. But our Starting Line running shoe scholarship can help—and has already helped more than 20 people.

Here at Still I Run, we know the life-changing power of running for our mental health. Running is a big part of a toolkit that may also include therapy, medication, etc. We don’t want resources to hold anyone back from starting. Our Starting Line Scholarship (SLS) is so much more than just running shoes though! SLS includes all kinds of goodies, including a full outfit of top/bottom/socks/Oiselle sports bra, FRE moisturizer with SPF to keep you protected on those outdoor runs, and a free entry to a 5K/10K of your choice.

And because we know the importance of accountability for our mental health and our running goals, we provide you with a custom training plan, periodic check-ins with one of our running coaches, AND a Still I Run mentor. Plus, our Still I Run Facebook community is available to everyone and is a fun place for support!

More Than Just a Running Shoe Scholarship

But for our alums, it’s been truly life-changing. Listen to them discuss in their own words how the Starting Line Scholarship changed their lives.

Fighting Mental Health Stigma

“The Starting Line Scholarship allows you to combat barriers and support mental health wellness and fight against mental health stigma through running. And you are fully supported! Whether this is your first race or your 100th – the financial and coach support to do a run for mental health will be more impactful than you can imagine.” – Katy, 2020 Q1 recipient

Find Inspiration

“Through the Still I Run Scholarship I was challenged, but also encouraged and inspired. I wasn’t perfect at the training or the final race but I learned so much along the way about myself and running. I learned what it feels like to persevere through the mental health hurdles and come out on the other side. My coach and mentor were invaluable resources and sources of motivation through the journey” – Yolanda, 2020 Q3 recipient
