Mental Health Runner Workbook

A comprehensive 12 week self-guided program that includes:

 

  • Personalized Training Plans for a 5K or 10K, tailored to your experience level.

  • Weekly Themes with reflection questions and exercises to deepen your understanding.

  • Educational Insights on the connection between running and mental well-being.

  • Journaling Space to track progress, set intentions, and reflect.

  • Run Log to record miles, track experiences, and note how each run felt.

Whether you're new to running or looking to rebuild, this program is tailored to empower you to use running as a tool to support your mental health.

Who is This Program For?

The Mental Health Runner Program is a self-guided 12-week journey open to any individual in any location who:

  • Face financial barriers to accessing running gear and resources.

  • Are committed to following a self-guided 12-week training plan.

  • Want to integrate running into their mental health self-care routine.

  • Are eager to use the accompanying workbook and engage with weekly educational content.

Who is This Program Not For?

This program is not a substitute for traditional mental health treatment and is not intended for individuals:

​

  • In crisis or seeking an alternative to talk therapy, medication, or other conventional methods of mental health care.

  • Who are looking for free gear without a genuine interest in using running for mental health health.

Ready to get started?

If you're ready to take the first step toward better mental health and well-being through running, apply to be considered for the Mental Health Runner Program.

Applications are reviewed and accepted monthly on a rolling basis.

Criteria for Acceptance

This program is specifically for individuals who:

​

  • Financial Need: This program is designed for individuals who genuinely need financial help to access running gear. If you don't face financial barriers, we ask that you allow others to apply.

  • Demonstrated Interest: We are looking for applicants who are committed to following through with the program, including the workbook activities and training plan.

  • Thorough Application: Your application should reflect thoughtfulness and enthusiasm for using running as a tool for mental health.

  • Reside in the United States​: This program is open to any individual with a U.S. or military mailing address.

We carefully review each application to assess the thoroughness of the answers and your genuine interest in using the tools provided, including the training plan and workbook.​
