This year for Runstreak for Mental Health, our Trailblazer participants will receive something a little extra meaningful—a Thersipo bracelet paired with a custom Still I Run medal.
When we partner with sponsors, we always want it to feel aligned with our mission. So we spent some time getting to know Carlos, the founder of Thersipo, and learning the story behind the brand. It turns out, his journey with running feels familiar to a lot of our community.
Running didn’t start as a big goal or a bold challenge for him. It simply started as a way to feel better.
And that’s exactly the kind of story we love to share.
A Runner Who Never Thought He’d Run a Marathon

Carlos began running in 2014 while working in Bolivia. At the time, he didn’t consider himself a sports person. He was juggling a stressful job and needed something that would help him clear his mind and stay active.
He started with 5Ks. At the time, even that distance felt like a lot.
Eventually, he worked his way up to 10Ks. A half marathon felt like a huge stretch goal, something that would require real commitment. Crossing the finish line felt like a major accomplishment, even though he didn’t consider himself a fast runner.
For a long time, the marathon felt out of reach. Like many runners, he thought marathons were only for elite athletes or professionals.
Still, the idea stayed in the back of his mind.
After completing his half marathon, he decided to give the full distance a try. He trained for a full year, simply hoping to finish before the cutoff time.
On race day, he remembers feeling nervous, but also energized by the atmosphere. The support from other runners and spectators made the experience feel bigger than just the miles.
When he crossed the finish line, he felt proud, relieved, and surprised by what he had accomplished.
That finish line would eventually lead to the creation of Thersipo.
How a Lost Bracelet Became a Business
After his first marathon, Carlos wanted a simple way to remember the experience. He created a bracelet with a small medal to commemorate the race—something he could wear as a reminder of what he had done.
Later, when he lost the bracelet, his wife decided to surprise him with a new one. She designed a version that could hold multiple medals from the races he had completed.
People immediately started asking about it.
Where did you get that? Can I get one too? Do they have one for my race?
That curiosity turned into the first version of Thersipo.
As more runners showed interest, the collection grew. Today, Thersipo offers more than 350 race medal designs representing events around the world.
What started as a personal keepsake became something many runners now use to celebrate the miles they’ve completed and the progress they’ve made.
Running as Quiet Time in a Loud World
Carlos shared that running continues to support his mental health in simple but meaningful ways.
With three kids and a busy life, his days are often filled with noise and responsibility. Running gives him a chance to experience a moment of quiet, especially when he heads out early in the morning before the day begins.
It becomes time to think, reflect, or simply exist without distraction.
“We all struggle,” he shared. “All of us. Even the people you see on social media who look like they aren’t struggling, they struggle too.”
That perspective resonates deeply with our community. Many runners come to Still I Run looking for space to breathe, reset, and keep moving forward in ways that feel manageable.
Running doesn’t remove life’s challenges, but it can help us feel more equipped to face them.
Carlos also shared something we hear often from our community: running can feel like a superpower. Not because it makes life perfect, but because it reminds us that we are capable of doing hard things.
Why This Partnership Matters

During Runstreak for Mental Health, participants commit to moving one mile every day in May, or completing 31 miles throughout the month.
It’s not about speed. It’s about consistency. It’s about showing up for your mental health in small, sustainable ways.
Trailblazer participants will receive a Thersipo bracelet along with a custom Still I Run medal, giving them a way to carry that reminder with them beyond the month of May.
Each mile logged during Runstreak represents time spent caring for your mental well-being. The bracelet becomes a small but meaningful way to recognize that effort.
We love partnering with brands that understand that running is about more than performance. It’s about feeling better, finding moments of calm, and building confidence one step at a time.
A Reminder You Can Wear
Progress doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like putting on your shoes when you don’t feel like it. Sometimes it looks like going slower than usual. Sometimes it looks like starting again after a break.
The Thersipo bracelet and custom Still I Run medal are reminders that those miles matter.
Because forward is a pace.
And every mile you show up for yourself is worth celebrating.
