Official Still I Run Chapter

Hi, I'm Christine! Daily exercise is as important to my mental health as taking my medication, eating well, and going to therapy. I love running in particular because it's so meditative.

I connected with Still I Run in 2018 and appreciate all the encouragement and support that the community provides. I'm excited to be a local chapter captain, so together we can grow awareness around mental health and build an in-person community.

I've done two half marathons, a 10K, and a few 5Ks locally. The group has talked about training for a 5K (3 miles) together to give us a goal. I believe that any kind of movement is awesome, so we will always have an option for walking as well as running.

I am also a writer and obsessed with animals (I have 30 chickens!). My husband owns Integrity Counseling Group, a group therapy practice, and I personally have bipolar II (see my IG profile @themoodninja for links to some articles I've written about this). So I guess you could say mental health is a big part of our lives and something we are super passionate about.
