2023 Amway River Bank Run

We’re excited to share that Still I Run has been chosen as an official Charity Partner for the 2023 Amway River Bank Run which takes place on Saturday, May 13. The River Bank Run features the largest 25K road race in the country and also serves as the 25KM Open Championship. There’s also a 10K, 5K Run, and 5K walk. All told, over 10,000 runners participate in this annual event located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Still I Run is the country’s only non-profit running community that works to promote the benefits of running for mental health, while also creating community, and helping people overcome any barriers they may experience when running for mental health. We do this through a variety of programs such as the Starting Line Scholarship, Running Chapters, our Ambassador Program, and the Run.Write.Fight. letter writing program.

Our partnership with the 2023 Amway River Bank Run is the perfect opportunity for you to run for your own mental health, raise money for Still I Run, and train for and run this exciting race. The River Bank Run is where Sasha, Still I Run’s founder, fell in love with participating in races, and to date, she’s run all three events several times.

Donate to Still I Run

Don’t want to set up a fundraising page, but still want to donate to Still I Run? That’s ok! Upon registering for the River Bank Run, you can choose to donate directly to Still I Run as you go through the regular registration process on RunSignUp. Everyone that donates will get a Still I Run car magnet!

How your donations help!

$1,000 fully supports ten Still I Run run chapters for a year. With our run chapters, our goal is to bring the online community benefits of Still I Run to hometowns across America. Run chapters are a safe space for local members of a community to come together to run and talk about mental health.

$500 fully supports one hundred hand written letters from our Run.Write.Fight Program. The RWF program sends handwritten letters of encouragement to people that request one for themselves or for individuals in their life. Your funds help purchase the Still I Run cards and postage stamps used by our team to send these very special pieces of mail.

$250 fully supports the advocacy efforts of three Still I Run ambassadors for a year. Instead of spending money on typical marketing ads, we believe that a better and stronger way of spreading awareness of Still I Run is through our ambassadors and their real life stories.

$150 secures a brand new pair of quality running shoes for one Starting Line Scholarship Participant. Having proper shoes can sometimes mean the difference between continuing on with the journey of running for mental health, or quitting due to injury.

$100 supports Mental Health First Aid training for one Run Chapter Captain. This training will not only be beneficial to the chapter they lead, but the community they reside in.

$75 supplies one Still I Run jersey to three Starting Line Scholarship recipients. These jerseys will be worn at the races they chose as part of their scholarship.

$50 covers the average cost of a race entry for a Starting Line Scholarship recipient.
